Cost Implication for a Recurrence versus a New Claim:

I would like to know what the cost implication would be for a recurrence versus a new claim with respect to NEER.

WSIB Claim with Alternative Assessment Procedure (AAP) / Inter-Jurisdictional Agreement (IJA)

I have a WSIB Question and here is the scenario:

A driver lives and works in Quebec.  The employer is stationed in Quebec and registered with CSST in Quebec.   However the employer is also registered and operates out of Ontario.  The driver crossed the border into Ontario to make a switch on a daily basis as part of daily routine.

Driver gets injured ----------

CSST is managing the claim but this fellow shows up on the WSIB NEER cost statement.  How can one province (Quebec) so called manage the claim and all the charges go on the Ontario WSIB account. I'm sure the Trans. Provincial guidelines apply somehow but this does not seem right.  I'm suggesting the complete claim should go under the realm of the CSST only -- not Ontario.  Please  advise.

Carbon Footprint:

I understand that small and medium sized businesses will have to reduce

their carbon footprint in the near future and want to know if we have any info

on how to measure that?

Sound Survey:

I have a question in regards to what is acceptable for performing sound surveys in Ontario. We have operated with Talisman Energy's Cop of practice which requires following CSA Standard Z107.56-06 and using a 3rd party contractor. Talisman established this practice because they work in numerous jurisdictions. I wanted to check to see if this is required in industry in Ontario or if sound measurement can be taken in house

Workplace Violence and Harassment:

According to the (MOL) Workplace Violence and Harassment Understanding the Law, page 18, last line reads "However, work cannot be refused on the grounds of workplace harassment."  Can the expert please expand on this so that this is clear. Could I please see examples.

Construction Job Site:

Who has the responsibility on a job site if 2 workers are performing a job,

does one have to be appointed by the employer as "in charge" and if not,

can a supervisor be in charge even though he is off site, or must have

someone physically there?

Employer Liability:

Is our employer liable if something happens to us on the way from

our house to a work related training session for the day?

Fall Protection:

I have heard of the recent tragic accident in Toronto, where 4 workers fell to their deaths.  We are a small manufacturer, and we think we're doing everything that's legally required, in terms of fall protection.  However, to be sure, can you summarize what the requirements are and where exactly they're found in the OHSA/Regulations?

Motor Vehicle Accident:

We had a driver who was in a motor vehicle accident 2 months ago.

He was injured, and the functional abilities form now states he can return

to driving, with restriction. Now, he is saying that he is afraid to drive any

vehicle, and wants to see a psychologist. WSIB tells us that it might take

6 - 8 weeksfor the initial consultation, and that it could drag on for years.

His modified non-driving work is a hindrance to the other workers, as they

think he's milking it?

Pandemic Policy:

Do you know if it is mandatory for companies to have a

Pandemic Policy or if it will be mandatory in the next year?
